Candy AI Characters: Inside The Gallery Screen
The gallery is the screen you spend the most time on before any chat starts. It has three tabs, a row of filter chips and a grid of cards, and each of those does one small job. Here is what each control narrows, and what a card is actually telling you.
The Tabs Across The Top
Trending, Latest and Following sit above the grid. Trending reorders the library by what is being opened, Latest pushes recent additions to the front, and Following holds the characters you have already started with. The tabs reorder the same library rather than filtering it, so the count underneath does not change. Following is the only tab that depends on your own history, so it is empty on a first visit. The home page carries a trimmed version of the same screen.
Filter Chips And What They Narrow
Below the tabs, the chips cut the grid by type: All, Girlfriend, Anime, Boyfriend, Fantasy, Roleplay. One chip is active at a time. Anime narrows to the stylized families described on the rendering page, and Boyfriend narrows to the male profiles covered in the boyfriend walkthrough. The library itself runs past 100 distinct characters.
What A Character Card Tells You
A card gives you four things: the thumbnail, the name, the age and a single line of temperament. Sophia, 24, is caring and adventurous. Luna, 22, is mysterious and playful. Aria, 25, is intellectual and romantic; Mika, 21, shy but confident; Yuki, 23, bold and funny; Zara, 26, confident and nurturing. That line is the summary of a pre-written backstory, and it sets the tone the first reply arrives in. Nothing on the card tells you which plan you are on, so the daily cap only becomes visible once you start typing.
Running Several Conversations
Nothing limits how many characters you talk to. Each conversation keeps its own memory, so details you gave one are not handed to another, and the Memory tab is per character. Opening a second card does not close the first. Switching back and forth costs nothing and does not reset anything. The first-session walkthrough shows what happens after the click.
Building A Character The Gallery Lacks
If nothing in the grid fits, the creation panel takes ethnicity, eye colour, hair style, body type and age range, then a personality archetype such as Shy or Bold, hobbies, an occupation, a voice pitch, a communication style and a relationship history that sets the opening tone. The free version gives roughly 30 messages a day to test the result, paid cycles lift the cap, and the guide walks the whole interface. The free tier is the right place to test a character you built, before any money is involved. The home page's Live Action section adds context.
